Horizon West Landscape Constructions is proud to have partnered with the City of Wanneroo to recently complete the construction of an amazing new play area that includes five nature themed play spaces to enjoy – including Mountain, Jungle, Town/Country, Desert and Beach themed areas.

Riverlinks All Abilities Playspace is a community project jointly funded by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the City of Wanneroo.

Each unique area engages children by connecting them with nature, starting their journey in the Mountain area and finishing at the beach area, all of includes a mixture of play equipment to appeal to all ages and abilities.

Under the City’s Access and Inclusion Plan this project has continued to improve accessibility opportunities for people with a disability to use public open space facilities in the City of Wanneroo.

Big thanks to the project team led by EPCAD Landscape Architects for allowing Horizon West Landscape Constructions and its valued trade partners to complete the fabulous “ocean themed” Capricorn Village Foreshore Public Open Space for the Yanchep community to enjoy.

The impressive towering “Sea Stack” slide area takes pride of place atop the sand dune, taking advantage of the natural elevation to provide beautiful ocean views and adventurous play for the children.
A large expansive grass kickabout and recreation area enhances the play and picnic spaces to the south and a feature “Moonseat” seating deck area to the north of the site.

If you want to laze on the beach, head south along the beach access path and take a shower on the way back out.
