3 Phase board upgrade powered up this week at our Valentine project.
Old point of attachment removed and new private pole and underground submains installed. Had to get through about 300mm of rock to get the pole to depth but we got there.

Sometimes we’re quick to spend money on the big ticket items in our house and often overlook the simple things. Another switchboard upgrade this week giving this customer lifelong piece of mind with their electrical installation. This particular upgrade came in under $2.5K.
Not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things.

While doing a rough in for a kitchen this week JHES found some wiring in a roof that was severely damaged by rodents. This cable plus a few others had been chewed down to the bare copper conductors. A huge risk not only to the property but any potential workers unknowingly working in the roof. Lucky JHES always turns the power off when entering the roof space. Sometimes the need for an upgrade is more obvious than others. This old timer on a pool pump circuit had met its maker. Exposed conductors and no RCD protection on a damaged asbestos panel was more than enough cause for an affordable birthday for this shed.

I don’t know a barista that wouldn’t love an extra 30mins sleep in the morning. After hours job today installing a timer on the coffee machine at Cassowary Cafe at Belmont. Also brightened up the counters with a few LED downlights on a Dimmer.

A few new security lights added to this property today. Then also added in this neat remote control switch for an existing light fitting. This can also be controlled via any smartphone.

Another switchboard upgrade done this week. Since 2018 there have been some big changes to the way we protect homes and more importantly the people in them. Most switchboards I see do not comply to the current Australian standards. A lot like this one contain asbestos. If your switchboard looks like the old one in these photos, contact JHES for a free quote.
