New work clothes for the 6 have been a long time coming but she’s now wearing them with pride. Now it’s off to work.

Been a while but here we are. Wet around the ridges, even worse down on the flats. Great to see as there’s always money in mud.

Here’s a stack of before and afters of a patch we had been in before Christmas. It’s been great to see it after the rain and coming back to life.

Well, Well, Well (three holes in the ground.)

We’ve finally pulled up for some well earned beers and relaxation. To say it’s been a huge year of work and growth for us would be an understatement.

We started the season just prior to Easter with a move down to Rolleston to find dry ground to work on and that’s exactly what we’ve done all year. Limited days parked up due to breakdowns and plenty to do kept us busy all year.

This continued work enabled us to grow. One new Dozer and having Drew come onboard really got the show pumping

Growth cant come without thanking those who have trusted us with their work and have kept the work flowing for us to have had such a successful year, so here goes.

Been a bit quiet on here for a bit but we haven’t been quite out in the paddock. The D6H has been in for some love with a heart bypass and a bit of a foot massage.

She got a full out of frame engine rebuild along with a stack of new hoses, seals, canopy and main frame cracks cleaned up and both track frames were refurbished.

This work wouldn’t have been done without the fantastic team from Gregory Fabrications PTY LTD working tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver what was needed in such a short timeframe so a massive Thank you must go to them.

They say Cats are Built to be Rebuilt so I guess there’s another 30000 hours left in this old girl now.

Before, during and after shots of a bit of new cultivation that’s being developed for some awesome people.

Weve been working on the area for a little while as our dozers go through area at different stages.

The 6 did the raking and stacking then the 155 came through and cutter barred the area. We got some great lift out of the ground with decent bust up and crumble to go with it.

Next step is to offset disc the area at a later date in a couple of different directions to really bust up the soil in final preparation for planting to crop.

Time to get some moisture into it now.

Drew’s been out and about in the wilderness by himself for a few days while I’ve been in town chasing parts for the 6 and making sure we’ve got everything needed for the lads rebuilding the engine and a refurbishment on the track frame and some touch ups on the canopy.

Drew’s off for a few days and I get to continue on with his handy work. Here hoping I can continue on with the quality he’s produced so far.

It’s the old boys birthday today! You’ve had a few days off for the occasion, heading back ready to start making tracks again tomorrow 😎

It’s taken a while to get some logos sorted out that we are happy with so now it’s time to let everyone know we’ve officially changed or business name.

Cedarvale Cattle and Rural Services is now Altrac Machinery Hire PTY LTD and we are up and humming with split businesses.

Here’s a bit of what the 155 has been up to over the last couple of days.

We’ve taken an unusable area in front of a new machinery shed and leveled and benched up an apron at shed floor level ramping down to a larger area for silos, farming implements and other equipment to be stored.

There’s a couple more additions to be done before the area is complete but our part is done.

Got to love having the vision to make areas like this come to life and be functional.
