We upset a client this weekend unfortunately 😔

Removing some large Yuccas in his front garden to make way for some lovely natives, we hit his storm water pipe with the stump grinder.

He was not happy in the slightest! So we made sure to get it fixed straight away

I can confirm he has now calmed down enjoying an icy pole whilst playing Lego. 😅

A lovely result on this Red maple this week 🍁

Luckily the home owner noticed the tree was starting to split due to the bark inclusion. Upon inspection it was opening and closing quite significantly. We installed a ratchet strap straight away as a short term solution and returned to install steel rod supports as a more long term solution, along with a generous 2 metre reduction all over to reduce wind load.

The tree had been planted around 15-20 years ago, with no pruning done what so ever - some formative pruning in its early years could of prevented this, but moving forward we hope to maintain the tree as it is, as the feature of a lovely Pascoe vale family home

We said goodbye to our mate Mitch this week, an emotional farewell but we wish him all the best on his travels to South America 🫶🏻✈️

It was a pleasure to have him on the team, going from a lad who was new to the industry, to leaving as a qualified cert 3 arborist and a very competent climber.

Safe travels mate, we hope to have you back one day !

We recently took on on a project for a client who had to leave their cherished family home due to the construction of a new surburban rail loop through Box Hill.

With a desire to preserve as much as possible for sentimental reasons, they sought to salvage three trees, including a large spotted gum that held special significance, having been planted by the family’s grandmother.

We carefully dismantled the trees and transported the timber to the .g.f.woodworking for them to work their magic.

It was an emotional story to be apart of, and we are proud to have played a part in preserving precious memories 🍃

We recently spent a few days with our friends at (Coburg) - following an independent arborist report we were required to carry out various hazardous removals and risk reduction pruning, resulting in a safer campsite for some happy campers 🏕️🍃

You never think it will happen to you, until it does! 🥴

So many of my friends over the years have had saws, climbing kit etc stolen. In England it’s just a normal occurrence 😔

Grateful I don’t have to live a life of guilt. But realistically they don’t give two sh*ts and stealing from small businesses/normal folk is just the normal.

We will bounce back - stay vigilant 🫶🏻
