Who ran out of water last year and trucked water in?

Well nobody has ever complained about having too much stored water, just not enough!
Think about having an extra tank installed to catch the water, rather than watching your tank overflow, and then wishing you had that water in the drier times.

Working in with a Nana Glen local - Clint at Bailey's Excavation & Landscapes, we demolished and removed this old leaking concrete tank that was well past its heyday.

A new tank spot was cut out of the sloped plot further down the garden away from the house, low enough to also take advantage of the extra water catchment from the shed. New pipework was run all round, and the pump moved away from under the house to behind the tank to reduce the noise impact at the house.

Then just a few other pictures of tanks for fun and games.

Water filters!

On tank, river or bore water? Even on mains town water?

Want to drink clean potable water straight from the kitchen tap?
No more ceramic water filter or bottled water to deal with.
If in town, no more chlorine taste to your drinking water.
Maybe you just want to remove sediment to protect your fixtures and fittings, hot and cold.

Think about getting some filters installed to ensure a quality drinking water supply.
Due to their high flow rate, no extra tap is required, we can plumb it straight into your existing cold tap over your sink. Great flow and cartridges last over 30,000 litres of treated water flowing through them. That's a fair bit of water!

Mains water - no risk but a horrid chlorine taste.
Rainwater/ tank water is typically considered low risk.
Bore water is generally low to medium risk, typically high in minerals and often slightly acidic.
River water is seen as a high risk source as its catchment can change quickly and become contaminated easily.

Each water setup requires a different filter set depending on the water that is being treated.
The first stage for a non mains supply is a whole house sediment filter. This catches any larger particles in your supply that may cause taps and toilets to drip and not shut off and generally improves the supply.
This in turn protects the second stage of filtration. This differs depending on the water source from a twin sediment and taste/ Silver filter, to a UV setup for the ultimate protection.

Hey all. I've had the Ute and Trailer sign written, and only just gotten around to taking a photo. Hopefully you'll see me out and about in the local area.

Hoping everyone has a well deserved break over the Christmas and New Year period.

Hey folks.

I thought I'd put a post up to advertise my new business and to introduce myself.

I have recently setup Orara Valley Plumbing.
I live in Orara and have done for a few years now. For the previous 7 years I have worked for local Coffs plumbing companies and since living in the valley often doing the jobs in this area. Before Coffs I spent the previous 7 or so years plumbing in England before emigrating over to Coffs hoping for warmer weather and less rain 😅.

Although I live in Orara, I have been travelling into town for work nearly everyday for past companies. I plan to work in and around the Orara Valley, as well as in town and venturing up and down the coast as I have done previously.

If you have any plumbing needs. Give me a call.

David
