We’ve teamed up with The Design Files for the exclusive reveal of our latest residential project, Plotkin House.

Pick up Issue 05 of The Design Files print magazine, officially out October 26, to be among the first to read the full story behind the design. Pre-orders are available via the link below and in today’s stories.

Thank you to The Design Files and .feagins for selecting Plotkin House for this special print issue, and to evewilson for the beautiful photography, Amelia Barnes for telling the story and Annie Portelli for the styling.

Plotkin House is a renovation guided by the principles of the mid-century modern movement in which the home was originally conceived: clean, simple lines, honest use of materials, functionality over form and a strong connection to the surrounding environment. More to come soon.

As part of our redesign of the iconic Cutler restaurant, the entire venue was restructured. A bar now occupies the front section, suited to a pre-dinner drink or casual meal; the dining room sits at the heart of the venue; and a further area at the rear provides flexibility for general dining and events.

The three spaces are visually connected through steel-framed glass doors, while each retains its own distinct character.

A closer detail of the kitchen bench at Church House.

The base is formed as a matte stainless steel volume, selected for its clean aesthetic and hygienic functionality, a material we regularly use across our hospitality projects.

An oversized circular slab of Australian pink marble is surrounded by tactile, chamfered timber edge. The circle extends beyond the base at the end to form a seating surface, cantilevered to appear to float independently.

The interiors palette at Northside Terrace uses an array of richly textured elements, following the colour scheme of the clients’ existing artwork. Referencing the clients’ Balmoral Beach artwork by iconic Australian artist Ken Done, the colour selections for the furnishings draw on sandy hues, warmth and restrained blue undertones that flow consistently throughout the home.

Presented during Melbourne Design Week 2026, Tra Noi formed part of 100 CHAIRS, an exhibition by Friends & Associates at Abbotsford Convent. Bringing together more than 100 Australian designers, architects and makers, the exhibition celebrated the chair as a medium for experimentation, craftsmanship and contemporary design thinking. Designed by Iva Foschia in collaboration with Arthur G, Tra Noi explores the chair as an object of connection, translating ideas of family into a contemporary furniture piece.

The master ensuite of Church House, with its distinct bow-and-arrow windows, introduces modern functionality through organic forms, evident in the bath, basin, and mirror. Australian stone is applied to both the floor and the floating joinery. A circular staircase in the ensuite leads to a secluded yoga room in the turret of the building, with views across the city.

Opposite, recycled aluminium panelling references the alveoli of the sourdough crumb while expressing the Baker Bleu’s commitment to material reuse. An arched wall draws the eye through the space, its worked surface a quiet foil to the galvanised steel.
