Emergency callout:

Resident claimed their appliances inside the house were not working properly.

Upon arrival we found the earth-stake to be live with full house current running through it. An NST test also confirmed there was a problem with the main Neutral.

Inspection of the overhead midspan confirmed that the Neutral and 1- phase had burnt out in the bundle leaving the service neutral open circuit.

Temp fixes were put in place to reconnect the house for the moment with a more permanent fix to occur in the soon future.

Situations like this can be very dangerous and/or fatal if ignored. If your house is experiencing something like this or small shocks from metal surfaces please contact a LVL 2 or Ausgrid straight away!!⚡️
