Love working with timber!!
4.8m and 6m lengths of hardwood aren't the easiest to deal with solo but you have to improvise.
Following the old fence line this is a much improved look for the entrance at Laggan.
A little more to finish off tomorrow to keep the cattle in but a much improved look.

2 jobs on the go at Gunning with this the final stage of a full front and back transformation completed yesterday.
Some custom merbau gates to secure the yard ready for rental.
The other job is a similar transformation with 3 separate stages in the back yard with firepit, retaining walls, turf, steel edging, steppers, pebbles and new planting of natives to handle the poor soils in the area.

Future engraved pavers will be slotted in along the path.
Shame about the colour difference with the same product but that's what happens with different batches of pavers.
Netting is to keep the kids off it until the edges set.

Picket fence time the past few days. Definitely makes a difference to this little Crookwell cottage. Thankfully the painting wasn't up to me! That was undertaken by the clients with still a little more to go. Have fun with that!

Finished the week off with 280m² of turf laid on Thursday with a little touch up on one of the turf jobs this morning and then finished off the screen job thats been waiting for the treated pine posts to season.
Stained them earlier in the week and gave them 2 coats of oil today whilst the weather was warmish!
Thankfully had the wife help lay turf on Thursday as the delivery was later than id hoped. Good thing she's a champion athlete now to smash out 216m² in a couple of hours! Libbie Storrier

A different way to finish the week off.
My client chose 20mm aggregate to cover this area. Initially apprehensive about using it, I honestly dont mind it. A good contrast with the pavers and white granite fire pit area and once plants are added to the garden area, it will soften the area.
The front yard was also chosen as a low maintenance area with 50mm River pebbles that match well with the Yacca's and colour of the house.
Finished the day off with some lamb wrestling/marking!

Another week and more steel edging and circular firepit area. Taralga last week, this time in the other direction of Gunning where Im doing the final stage of 3 areas over the last couple of years. Recently laid some Santa Ana couch which is doing well and still green given our warmer autumn and winter, hence the clear sky photo of the main street on Tuesday when I left Crookwell in fog and drizzle!!

How good are these screens! Love the patterns.
Once the posts are seasoned a bit ill stain and oil them which will top them off beautifully. The client will be planting small shrubs in front to compliment the look.
