Heatstrip panel heaters wired from the ground floor main switchboard to the 2nd floor of this beautiful 4 story house in Patterson lakes.
We managed to complete this difficult install with only 2 cuts to the plaster ceiling in the ground floor garage that access hatches were then installed for provision of future works.

New black direction spot lights and a new black ceiling fan to top off the install creating a sensational outdoor space to enjoy.

There’s probably still a few switchboards like this one left in Melbourne.

I was asked to fix a light switch by the client, but when I went to isolate the power I found the following problems in their meter panel:

1, The circuits weren’t labelled

2, There were wrong sized fuse wires in the fuse cartridges, which is a fire risk.

3, No RCD protection on any circuits, which means no protection from electric shock

4, No current limit switch, so if many appliances were used at once, they risk overloading the incoming mains

5, Potential loose connections, which can happen over time in the connections of the fuse bases
