From fabrication to installation at Punt Road Oval ⚡️🏗️🏉
A major piece of the steelwork package of the Richmond Football Club Punt Road Oval redevelopment for Built Environs has just been completed.
Structural Challenge fabricated this geometric steel stair structure for the new Jack Dyer Stand, with the large plated sections manufactured offsite in a one-piece module before being transported to Punt Road Oval for installation. The size and weight of the structure presented a complex shop detailing and fabrication process which our Project Manager co-ordinated so the section could be carefully lifted into position by crane and integrated into the developing building structure in a few hours.
From the workshop to the construction site, it’s rewarding to see a fabricated structure like this go from individual steel components to a finished architectural feature. We’re proud to be contributing to one of Richmond Football Club’s most significant infrastructure projects, working alongside Built Environs and the broader project team to bring the new Punt Road Oval precinct to life.
