Mandorah project update:-

Pontoon installed and disabbility access ramps coming together with the new shade stucture being errected next. First fixed gangway touch down today, with the lads on site installing poles and lighting. Epic finishes and an absolute quality installation underway. Second hinged gangway to meet the pontoon also being fitted with lighting ready to be cranes into place tomorrow.

The latest from the lads at the new Mandorah Marine Facility Project that is coming along quite smoothly. SMC Marine requested some additional time lapse camera angles during the installation of the new pontoon and gangway. With landside carpark and area lighting installation completed and the quality finish works well under way.

The Northern Territory Government’s Mandorah Marine Facilities project has achieved a new milestone with dredging and construction of two breakwaters now complete 🌊

The new marine facilities are being delivered to improve and maintain public transport services for residents and visitors to Mandorah, Wagait Beach and Belyuen.

The new facilities will include a new boat ramp, toilet facilities, car park upgrades and an improved and accessible experience for ferry users.

An estimated 80,000 tonnes of rock were strategically placed to form the two breakwaters to create a safe harbour for the new ferry pontoon ⛴️

The breakwaters and dredging were all completed before the heavy onset of the wet season.

Farewell to our great friend Sven Baxter

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Sven. 🖤

Sven has been a leading force at Gold Medal Services for many years and has earnt the respect of many for his depth of knowledge and steadfast commitment to his trade. He has been an incredible mentor for our team and never lost his positive outlook on life despite the challenges he faced. 💐
