LEADING HAND / SKILLED TRADESPERSON
Hardy Group Pty Ltd — Winnellie, Darwin NT
We are looking for a hands-on, reliable tradesperson to join our small team building playgrounds, sports surfaces, shade structures, and outdoor recreation facilities across Darwin and remote NT.
This is a full-time position with work that varies — no two days are the same. You will be involved in all aspects of installation: carpentry, concreting, earthworks, site preparation, and machine operation. All work is carried out to Australian Standards.
PAY AND CONDITIONS:
- $45–$60 per hour, depending on experience
- Full time
- Industry: Sports and Recreation Construction
- Some travel to remote NT communities required
- Real opportunity to grow into Site Supervisor or Project Manager roles for the right person
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and common sense
- Reliability and a genuine pride in the quality of your work
- Physical fitness suited to working in Top End conditions
- Experience in construction, landscaping, concreting, civil, carpentry, or playground installation — highly regarded
ESSENTIAL:
- Current Driver's Licence
- White Card
- Right to work in Australia
HIGHLY REGARDED:
- Experience leading a crew or small team
- Machinery tickets (excavator, skid steer)
- Ochre Card
- Carpentry trade background
