Here is a snap shot of 3 months of study I completed to display competency in general pest control and timber species (termite management).
This is after I had worked under a learner license for a year including minimum numbers of termite treatments to become licensed.

All videos and images provided had to be signed off on by my then boss (and instructor) Hat tip to Rick šŸ‘

Fast forward to 2026 and you can achieve the same in 10 days. This is not the right direction for the industry.

As a customer you should seek experience of cost or in my case you can get the experience at a good price too šŸ˜Š

Sometimes bees have set up where they cannot be readily removed. In this case the nest was inside a chimney cavity between the bricks and internal flu.
A dangerous situation with an elderly client having bees entering through small gaps on the inside of the house so the tough decision was made to destroy the nest.
The conduit dusting rig was assembled on site and utilised given limited roof access, rain and forecast rain for several days.
Itā€™s the most rewarding part of my role being able to help people stay safe, along side saving structures from termites!

A little favour from my past customers šŸ™
Iā€™m reaching out to my genuine past customers and clients for a little support during a difficult time for my small business.
I havenā€™t been able to complete any new work for over a month due to a broken shoulder, and unfortunately Iā€™m still looking at at least another 6 weeks off work while I recover.
Despite not carrying out any new work during this time, my Google Business Profile has received two negative reviews in the past two days from people who have never been customers of mine.
One review appears to be from a pest controller in New Zealand, while the other is from Fawkner in Melbourneā€™s northern suburbs ā€” an area I donā€™t service and have never operated in.
I have reported both reviews to Google, as they donā€™t reflect genuine customer experiences.
As a small sole-trader business, my reputation and genuine customer reviews mean a lot. Unfair reviews can have a real impact, particularly while Iā€™m unable to work.
Iā€™m not asking anyone to leave a review unless you have genuinely used my services. But if Iā€™ve helped you with pest control in the past and you were happy with my service, I would be incredibly grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to leave an honest Google review based on your own experience.

German cockroach Speck is the common name for what is left behind by these critters. Most people that guess what it is are only 50% correct.
Think both ends šŸ¤¢.
Treatment is multi pronged. First and foremost is hygiene, we must cut off the food source. Then the focus shifts to the different stages with adults, nymphs and eggs requiring different treatments.
So small yet so complex
