Most warehouses we walk into are only using about 60% of what the building can actually hold.

Armin breaks down exactly where that extra space is hiding, the aisle width, the air above your top pallet and the stock sitting on the floor instead of on racking. It's not always about needing more square metres, sometimes it's about using what you've already got properly.

Before you sign a bigger lease, get someone to look up.

Another completed job for All Car Towing and it's a good one to show what a properly engineered system can do with the right space planning.

We split the install across two sides of the property to make the most of the footprint, building a system strong enough to handle vehicles stacked three levels high while keeping everything neat, accessible and efficient.

The result is a high-capacity storage solution that works for how the site actually operates.

Another completed job, this time for Briggate Medical Company, and it's a great example of how much capacity is often sitting unused right above your head.

The site was working with old portable steel shelving and none of its vertical space. We removed it, installed heavy-duty selective racking, and went a step further by building an elevated floor system on top of the pallet racking, effectively giving them a second storage level. The full scope covered the structural racking install, the elevated floor build, rack shelving, fall protection and safety railing.

Same footprint, more than tripled storage capacity, now working across two usable levels.

There's a part on your racking that costs about 50 cents, and it's doing more work than almost anything else in your warehouse.

It's a small safety pin fitted to each beam. Its whole job is to stop a beam from lifting out of place if it's ever clipped from underneath. Without it, that beam can come loose entirely, and everything stacked above it goes with it.

Checking for it takes barely any time at all. Walk your racking, look at both ends of every beam, and make sure the pin is seated properly. If something's missing, deal with it straight away rather than adding it to next month's list.

It's a tiny part with a very big job. Pass this on to whoever's responsible for walking your racking.
