Hitek Frame & Truss would like to welcome aboard Jim Walsh as our Operations Manager Jim has a long career as a builder in the Dubbo & surrounding area.
Below is a description of Jim.
Jim Walsh is a seasoned builder with sawdust in his veins and nearly two decades of hands-on experience shaping the landscape of Western NSW. Starting his career as a chippy in 2004, Jim built his reputation the old-fashioned way—through hard work, long days, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time. In 2009, he earned his builder’s licence, a milestone that marked the beginning of a new chapter: leading projects and turning plans on paper into solid, lasting structures.
For the past 13 years, Jim has run his own building company, delivering quality craftsmanship across most of Western NSW. His work spans every facet of the building industry—commercial developments, residential homes, and large-scale agricultural projects. From family homes and office fit-outs to sheds, workshops, and farm infrastructure, Jim brings the same steady leadership and practical expertise to every job.
Throughout his career, Jim has also taken on a number of complex and unconventional projects that required careful problem-solving and the ability to draw on past experience. Whether adapting designs to suit challenging sites, working through unexpected structural issues, or finding practical solutions in remote locations, he approaches demanding jobs with a calm, methodical mindset and the confidence that comes from years on the tools.
Known for his reliability, straight-talking nature, and strong work ethic, Jim understands the demands of regional building—tight timelines, tough conditions, and the need for durable results. He’s equally comfortable managing crews and coordinating trades as he is picking up the tools himself. His broad experience across sectors has given him a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of construction from the ground up.
At his core, Jim is a builder who believes in quality workmanship, honest communication, and leaving behind work that stands the test of time.
