Rain at last!
With Autumn bringing cooler temperature and rain, it's a critical time to stay ahead of pests, weeds and diseases.

Many of our customers will find Mark has been carrying out spraying to control fungus, black beetle and weeds.

He has also been busy spraying foliar fertilizers and wetting agents to ensure the lawns are taking full advantage of the extra water and building health and strength for the cooler months ahead.

Mark is quite excited about getting to test the new wetting agent. It has just arrived in WA and Mark is the only person in WA so far, to be given some to trial. Perfect timing before the autumn rains.

MULCH - Course woodchip mulch can be great for garden beds to help retain moisture and prevent evaporation but not this stuff.

AT this time of year lots of people are reaching for this stuff - finely ground wood chips and sand often marketed as compost mulch.
It's okay in garden beds, although it uses nitrogen to break down so be sure to add fertilizer too.

BUT it is NOT Useful for lawns. It may initially encourage a flush of growth but it will be short lived. Most of it will be picked up by mower catchers and wasted. At best it's just a waste of money; at worst it can cause fungal growth next autumn.

Spraying carbon, microbes and nutrients directly onto lawns will increase overall lawn health, resulting in fewer fungal problems and a healthier root system.
