Project Highlight | The Tops - Abseil Cliff Access Staircase

The team at The Tops approached Anchor Safe to assist with a technical and challenging installation. The site previously relied on three non-compliant steel caged ladders across multiple uneven surfaces. With many children using the system, it was no longer considered safe and the activity had to stop until a compliant access solution could be installed. They were also unable to obtain the necessary insurances to continue operating without it.

Our team was tasked with designing a safe and compliant staircase, navigating a tricky installation that required both our height safety installers and Anchor Safe Rope Access abseil technicians working together to get the job done. Thanks to strong planning from the projects team, the crew smashed it onsite, completing the installation quicker than expected and with minimal issues.

Project Highlight | Australian Textile Mills

This project involved the extension of a mixing platform to improve the safe handling of heavy manufacturing materials during production processes. The upgrade included a pallet safety gate and overhead raptor rail designed to support an electric hoist system, allowing teams to forklift drums and heavy materials onto the platform before using the winch to transfer materials into the large drum as part of the manufacturing workflow.

Project Highlight | Platform Extension & Walkway Upgrade

Anchor Safe recently partnered with Chill-Rite Refrigeration & Air Conditioning to deliver a compliant and practical access solution at their facility.

Installed by our Albury team, this project involved retrofitting and extending an existing platform to integrate seamlessly with the current plant deck. The scope included the installation of a Kombi platform access system, along with 42 metres of aluminium walkway and guardrail to provide safe, continuous access across the expanded area.

The design also helped ensure safe servicing access in line with Australian electrical clearance guidance under AS/NZS 3000, providing a minimum of 1 metre of clear space in front of the closed service panel, and maintaining at least 600 mm of unobstructed space when the panel is opened.

By extending the existing infrastructure rather than replacing it, we were able to deliver a cost-effective upgrade while maintaining full compliance and improving long-term access and safety.
