Cants Building & Construction is expanding, and weβre looking for an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join our team! This is a mid-level role perfect for someone confident in leading others, managing site tasks, and delivering high-quality carpentry work.
π§ What Youβll Be Doing
β’ Managing carpentry works from start to finish
β’ Coordinating and supervising subcontractors where needed
β’ Supporting the Site Manager to keep projects on schedule
β’ Leading and guiding carpenters & apprentices
β’ Reading and following construction plans and documentation
β’ Ensuring all work aligns with Cantsβ standards & WHS requirements
β’ Day-to-day carpentry and minor trade tasks
β’ Helping keep projects running smoothly, safely, and on budget
β What Youβll Need
β’ Certificate III in Carpentry
β’ WHS White Card
β’ Working at Heights
β’ Current driverβs licence

β’ Strong communication and leadership skills
β’ Able to work safely and follow procedures
β’ Organised and able to meet deadlines
β’ Able to communicate professionally with clients & stakeholders
