My client had bought a flatpack mobile kitchen bench/trolley a couple of years back, but it wasn't holding up too good and starting to fall apart. She asked if I could use the "good bits" and rebuild it better and stronger for her. The good bits were the metal shelves and the handles. A most enjoyable project. Pine framing with a Bunnings "Hevea" top (timber from the rubber tree). Melamine drawers with pine fronts. Finished with Tung oil and Cabots "Benchtop Clear.

Client was at the end of their patience with 2 very weather beaten shed doors. The door frame was way out of plumb and the doors were attached directly to the shed framing - there was no door jamb. So I made up a treated pine door jamb and fitted it level and plumb, then hung 2 new Hume Solid Pine Core doors. Finished with 2 coats of British Paints Paint and Prime in white semi gloss. Delf stainless steel keyed entrance set fitted. Some finishing off with trim/architrave needed but that's after Christmas.

My client's brief was could I rejuvenate their outdoor setting? So everything pressure washed first. Look at the photos showing half washed and half not. I had to effect some repairs to a centre section of the table and also 1 chair where the joints had come apart. Then it was on with sanding the table top first with 40 grit then 80 grit using the random orbital sander. The finishing was applying 2 coats of "Cabots Exterior Clear" marine grade satin varnish using brush and roller. The results speak for themselves. The job was a bit of a labour of love, but the end result very rewarding.

A client reached out for me to make, paint and install a new pair of gates to replace a very decrepit pair. H3 treated pine framing and pickets. British Paints "Paint and Prime" semi gloss. Finished yesterday and installed today.

Henley's Corner Cafe in Como asked me to create seating outside where their clients sit waiting for and/or having their coffee. All H3 treated pine and finished in Cabots grey exterior timber stain to meet Strata requirements. Btw ... this is a great little cafe with excellent coffee, friendly service and they do a mean breakfast wrap.

So if you are unaware ... you can book an appointment with an IKEA designer, take them your wardrobe measurements and they will help create a plan. There is also an online tool you can use to plan a wardrobe layout yourself.

I have just completed a new kitchenette for my client who has converted her downstairs area into a flat for her daughter. Kaboodle cabinetry used and "Hevea" benchtop (from rubber plantation trees). 2 coats of benchtop oil (tung oil) applied, followed by 4 coats of Cabots benchtop clear.
