Another large-scale solar installation completed for a local dairy farm ✔️

The federal solar battery rebate has not finished. It is funded through the Cheaper Home Batteries Program and will run until 2030. However, the level of support for batteries shifted on 1 May 2026.

The discount calculations have been adjusted to align with declining battery costs, with the aim of maintaining around 30% discount for a range of battery systems at each capacity level.

The best way to make the most of this program is to contact us to discuss your daily electricity use, power output of your solar (if you have solar) and the output capacity of your inverter to understand what size battery might be appropriate for you.

Adding battery storage without replacing your existing solar system ✔️.
This recent install features a 13.6kWh AC-coupled battery, added alongside an existing solar setup.
One of the major advantages of an AC-coupled battery system is flexibility. It can be installed with most existing solar systems without needing to replace the current inverter, making it a practical and cost-effective upgrade option.

In this case, the home already had a 5kW Fronius Primo inverter with 6.6kW of solar panels on the roof (not originally installed by us). We were able to integrate the new battery seamlessly, allowing the homeowner to store excess solar energy and use it when the sun goes down.

If you already have solar but are thinking about adding storage, there are options that don’t require starting from scratch.
