an honest & heartfelt
THANKYOU. Like where do I even begin?

Imagine opening the Gypsy back after a veryyyy long stint of being closed, on a long weekend, three weeks earlier than expected (with a weeks notice).

Pulling together a team of incredible people (most with no bar experience) who hadn’t worked together before or in this venue. Also organising musicians to play less than a week out, cleaning up and restocking the best we could hours before open due to renovations.

To say this has been a community effort is an understatement and farrrrrr out I’m so bloody proud and grateful for everyone involved.

We had the MOST AMAZING WEEKEND and I am fairly certain, you all did too. We couldn’t have done it without all of your support.

Hearing everyone’s stories about why they love Gypsy is our inspiration to make this place your local. The people that come and hangout, are the best. Thursday night, the crew stood up after finishing their last drinks and helped me pack up all the tables 🥲

Whilst we ran with limited cocktails, and sometimes ran out of your favourites - we learnt a whole lot. This is just the start, and we are gonna laugh like this through the whole journey.

This place isn’t a cash grab, it’s not a business about making money. It’s the feeling of being a part of something more. The vibes & atmosphere, and the magic of watching artists move people to the dancefloor or sit mesmorised. The place where you catch up with mates and laugh over all of your favourite times 🥰
