‼️2025 SLIDER ANNOUNCEMENT‼️
Hills MND Big Freeze 2 are excited to announce our next slider - Glenn Brown 🥳
🔹
Glenn is an Emerald local and you may have met Glenn at 1st Emerald Scout Group - Scouts Victoria or the Clematis Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Here are some more information that Glenn shares with us. 🙂
Q1. How would you describe your contribution to the Hills Community?
A: Since I was a young kid, I have been in Emerald Scouts, where I’m still a member now. As a young adult I joined Clematis CFA, where I’m currently the captain and have been since 2022. So, I’ve been around volunteering and helping those who are in need my whole life, helping the community where I can.
Q2. What do you love about the Hills Community?
A: Having lived in Emerald my whole life, I love that there is still a strong community ownership of living in the ‘Hills’, whether you live in Emerald, Clematis, Cockatoo, Menzies creek, Monbulk etc, we’re all Hills people!
Also, that Hill’s people are still keen and willing to help each other out in our times of need!
Q3. What made you agree to slide? And, how do you feel about sliding into icy-cold water in Winter?
A: Pretty hard to say no to the Legend when he calls!
I got volunteered for this before I knew it was even happening again! Thanks Chris… But its such a great cause that I was excited to be asked anyway! I don’t mind a bit of short term suffering for an amazing cause!
Q4. If we asked your family, what would they say is something quirky, annoying or funny about you?
A: I asked my family, and my brother and sister both said ‘your face’ at the same time. So probably my face.
🔵
Well Glenn, we're so pleased that we'll see your face as you take the plunge to raise awareness and funds to fight MND! 👏
Another great Hills community member who will be supporting the fight against MND. If Glenn's icy plunge inspires you, show him your support by sponsoring his slide here https://bit.ly/GlennBrown
