Something different today.

Wall split system replacement in a caravan. The previous condensing unit mounted on the draw bar was in reach of the tow vehicle corners at hard lock (hence the damage).

We made up a custom slide bracket on site and fitted the new condensing unit with flexible refrigerant lines so that it could slide forward when parked for access to the front storage box, and back against the van body when in transit.

A second opinion is not always a bad thing!

This client of ours in Ipswich had a company come in to look at their ducted air conditioning system which wasn’t working. The company in question did not even open the unit (look at all the old cobwebs), told the client it needed replacing and then sent a quote for nearly $20,000 to replace the system!!!

This is nothing but a blatant attempt at ripping someone off!!!

Not only was their quote completely ridiculous (should have been no more than $10,000 at most, which would be on the high side at that), but when we looked at it, the unit was under warranty still, and the repairs covered. All it needed was a new PCB.

This kind of behaviour makes me so mad!

We had a call out (on behalf of a realestate property manager) to a residence this week, where the unit was reportedly leaking massive amounts of water inside…. The drain was completely blocked and in pretty bad shape. So a good clean, drain flush out and repair, and everything was back in order.

Side note: Kelvinator wall split systems have a blue fan blade… if yours is black…. It is time for a good clean!
