With the retaining wall complete, it was finally time to lay the turf and reveal the finished result.

The area was prepared with fresh topsoil and carefully graded to direct water towards the drain, ensuring effective drainage while providing the ideal foundation for the new lawn. Once the turf was laid, the entire project came together, and we could finally see the completed transformation.

From a failing retaining wall to a functional, well-finished outdoor space built to last.

Sometimes it’s what’s happening behind the wall that matters most.

This retaining wall had started leaning due to rotten timber posts and poor initial construction, so it was time for a complete rebuild. As we removed the old wall, we cut in and braced the area to prevent collapse, then dug new post holes and concreted new posts.

With proper drainage installed, the new retaining wall is built to stand the test of time. To finish the project, we carefully replanted the client’s original plants and replaced all of the decorative stones, leaving the garden looking neat, refreshed, and ready to enjoy.

✨ The reveal, as promised! ✨

This Southbank apartment is now ready to make a fantastic first impression.

After removing the existing soil for the waterproofing works, we returned to install drainage stone and agline before refilling the garden beds with fresh soil. Our client requested simple design, easy care and prefers Australian Natives. Working closely with Samford Valley Garden Centre, simple Australian natives were selected and positioned to suit the sunny and shaded areas of the garden for the best chance of long-term success.

We also reworked the irrigation system to keep everything thriving and finished the project with a complimentary pressure wash, leaving the entire outdoor area looking its absolute best.

We’re proud of this transformation and wish our client all the best with the sale!

Getting your home ready for sale can feel overwhelming, but a refreshed garden is one of the simplest ways to boost street appeal and make a lasting first impression. A tidy, well-maintained outdoor space helps showcase your home at its best.

This client in Southbank was preparing her 4th-floor apartment for sale and wanted the garden beds restored after waterproofing works.

Working alongside Alpha Waterproofing company, we first removed all of the existing soil from the 8 garden beds to allow the waterproofing to be completed. Once the works were finished, we returned to rebuild and refresh the garden beds, helping bring the outdoor space back to life as part of the property’s sale preparation.

Every property is different, and sometimes the best solution is making the most of what’s already there. 🌿

For this job, our client wanted to reinforce a sloping boundary without replacing all of the existing materials. We suggested installing a timber edge supported with star pickets to help strengthen the embankment while keeping costs down and giving the area a much neater finish.
