Hiring Electrical Apprentice - Solar & Battery Installations
About Us
Heffernan Electrical Automation is a growing electrical company based in Bendigo Victoria, specialising in solar, battery, automation, and electrical installations for residential and commercial clients. We pride ourselves on high-quality workmanship, clean installations, and strong customer service.
We are currently looking for a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team. Ideally 2nd or 3rd year apprentice with experience in the solar industry.
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting hands-on experience in the rapidly growing renewable energy industry. You will work alongside experienced electricians installing solar systems, battery storage systems, switchboards, and general electrical works.
We are ideally looking for someone who already has experience assisting with solar and battery installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with solar panel and battery installations
Assist with electrical rough-ins and fit-offs
Help with cable runs, conduit work, and mounting systems
Maintain a clean and safe worksite
Use and maintain tools and equipment properly
Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Support senior electricians with day-to-day tasks
Requirements:
Currently undertaking an electrical apprenticeship - Ideally 2nd or 3rd year apprentice with experience in the solar industry.
White Card
Driver’s licence preferred
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work in a team environment
Good communication skills
Physically fit and comfortable working on roofs/heights
Highly Regarded:
Previous experience with solar installations
Experience assisting with battery installations
Basic electrical hand tool experience
Working at Heights ticket
EWP ticket
