After a month of running off a genset to keep the lights on and the beers flowing we where finally able to connect back to mains today at the Endeavour Tavern Lancelin ! The consumer pole and switchboard were damaged beyond salvage from the storm and both needed to be replaced. We werent happy with being told there was a 8+weeks lead time on a custom board so we reached out to Saltiga Metals in Wangara who knocked it out of the park and had an enclosuret built in record time for us. We fitted the new enclosure out with all the switchgear including an automatic changeover switch for the back up generator which we hope will have a rest for a little while! Shout-out to Luke from Lancelin Concrete who lifted the consumer pole in with his hiab and supplied the mud for the footing and switchboard pad.

Here is one of the more budget oriented backup installs we have done. Dont let the word "budget" fool you tho, this is a powerful little package. 713cc petrol generator, 3phase 12.5KVA, rated at 19amps per phase, holds 40L fuel giving 12hrs of run time, looking after the whole property, real world test today and ran effortlessly without issue for 6hrs! Another back up genset install in town, this one is elite! Automatic changeover switch all contained in a stainless box, 17KVa genset remote start. This customer is no longer at the mercy of the frequent power outtages, and with the system being fully automatic they dont even have to be home to reap the benefits!
