Building a strong, reliable fence starts with the right layout and structure.

We set our posts at 4 metres apart for consistency and flow, with every 5th post installed as a Maxi post to add extra strength and stability through the line. That reinforcement makes a big difference when it comes to stock pressure and long-term durability.

Our wire setup includes:

✔ 2 plain wires for strength and support
✔ 2 barb wires for security and stock control
✔ 8-run hinge joint for reliable containment

Adding the 8-run hinge joint gives the fence excellent stock holding ability while still allowing flexibility under pressure. It’s built to handle livestock while maintaining its shape and tension.

To tie everything off efficiently, we use the Woodpecker tie gun, which ensures fast, tight, and consistent ties every time. keeps the finish neat and professional.

We also run the Walters Fencing clip speed guide on the woodpecker, making it quick and seamless to join the hinge joint wire onto the fence line. The speed guide keeps everything aligned, tight, and secure no wasted movement, no loose clips.

It’s been a productive few weeks out and about, helping a very valued client of ours get set up and secured with quality fencing solutions.

Over the last fortnight, we’ve been busy:

Yesterday we completed our vauled client Jeremy’s vision, taking off from where Beau & Jess from B&C Rural left off after their flawless fencing job on these sheep feedlot yards. You can find more information and see some of Beau and Jess’ other commendable jobs see B&C rural contracting page.

Wow! It has been a few busy weeks for the B&C rural team we have been flat out. Here’s a few photos of a containment lot we have been busy building, drone footage in the making!along with a few fences we have put in 3 x barb 1 x plain wire 8 run hinge joint.  As well as we fitted in a few days calf marking and drenching a few head of sheep helping out a very valued client of ours.🐮🐑
