🚜 B & C RURAL — WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO 🐑

It’s been a while since we’ve put a post up, but that’s because the team here at B & C Rural has been flat out! 💪

We’ve been busy getting stuck into a bit of everything, working across properties from around Harden NSW through to Reid’s Flat then down to wagga and everywhere in between.

A few photos of what we’ve been up to lately from fencing, livestock work, and general rural contracting, to getting stuck into whatever jobs need doing. 🐂🛠️🌱

What a big month it has been here at B & C Rural 👌

We’ve been putting our two 200L buggies spray units to work, getting into those tighter and hard to reach areas with ease. These setups have been unreal for knocking over jobs quickly and efficiently across all sorts of country.

On top of that, we’ve just added a brand new Croplands 500L spray unit to the team, mounted on the Mazda BT-50 💪 This rig is a serious step up and is already being put straight into some rough country without missing a beat a fantastic upgrade to cover them big berries.

Between the buggy units and the new ute setup, we’re fully equipped to tackle everything from spot spraying to larger scale work fast, efficient, and done right the first time.

A big thank you to some brand new clients from the Upper Lachlan Shire area we really appreciate the opportunity and the work you’ve given us. It’s been great getting out on your properties and we’re grateful for you keeping us busy over the past month.

Building a strong, reliable fence starts with the right layout and structure.

We set our posts at 4 metres apart for consistency and flow, with every 5th post installed as a Maxi post to add extra strength and stability through the line. That reinforcement makes a big difference when it comes to stock pressure and long-term durability.

Our wire setup includes:

✔ 2 plain wires for strength and support
✔ 2 barb wires for security and stock control
✔ 8-run hinge joint for reliable containment

Adding the 8-run hinge joint gives the fence excellent stock holding ability while still allowing flexibility under pressure. It’s built to handle livestock while maintaining its shape and tension.

To tie everything off efficiently, we use the Woodpecker tie gun, which ensures fast, tight, and consistent ties every time. keeps the finish neat and professional.

We also run the Walters Fencing clip speed guide on the woodpecker, making it quick and seamless to join the hinge joint wire onto the fence line. The speed guide keeps everything aligned, tight, and secure no wasted movement, no loose clips.

Using the right gear means:

• Faster job completion
• Cleaner, stronger finish
• Less wear on the body
• Consistent quality across every run

With the recent rain, all the woody weeds are taking off now is the perfect time to get on top of them before they spread further.

At B & C Rural, we’re currently spot spraying:

✔️ Heartleaf Tree

We’ve recently been spraying Heartleaf Tree for a very valued client. A big thank you to Willy's Contracting for mulching the larger trees beforehand it made our job much easier and far more effective. As many landholders know, Heartleaf is a fast-spreading tree that can quickly take over if left unmanaged.

It’s been a productive few weeks out and about, helping a very valued client of ours get set up and secured with quality fencing solutions.

Over the last fortnight, we’ve been busy:

🔹 Fencing around hay piles Protecting valuable feed from livestock damage and keeping stacks neat and secure.
🔹 Installing fences around solar panels Safeguarding solar infrastructure from stock interference and accidental damage.
🔹 Securing pumps and tank areas Creating safe, stock-proof enclosures around pumps and water tanks to improve longevity and prevent costly repairs.
