Levant Outdoors will be taking a short break over the festive season. Our office will be closed from Monday 22nd December 2025, returning Monday 12th January 2026.

Earthworks Team Leader

We are currently taking expressions of interest for an Earthworks team leader. The role is based on an average 38hr week, Monday to Friday.

Our projects mainly consist of lite earthworks on residential sites. The earthworks operator is our first team member to arrive on site, and the role requires the preparation of the site in readiness for our hard and softscape teams to complete the landscaping project. Our machines include -
- Bobcat S70/Case S130 skid steer
- 1.7 & 3T excavators

The job role includes (but not limited to)
- Import and export of soil / landscaping materials
- Prepare soil/base and/or other materials to height using a laser level
- Transport for dumping and collection of job materials
- Daily and weekly maintenance of machines
- Completing maintenance reports via our internal reporting system
- Assisting with other general manual landscaping duties when the need arises

Required tickets -
- White Card
- MR Truck Licence
- Skidsteer Licence
- Excavator Licence

Other beneficial skills -
- Basic IT knowledge (or willingness to learn) to access relevant business and project information
- Reading & understanding plans
- Interpreting and delivering finished height levels on site

The successful applicant must be team minded with a willingness to learn and understand how our teams integrate to achieve our business objectives. You will be required to collect and return a vehicle and machine each day to our HQ which is located in Lewiston.

This is Ryan.

Ryan has been a part of our team since July 2023 when he commenced his Apprenticeship in Landscape Construction through HIA. It has been a great experience being a host employer for such a reputable body within Australia.

Today we say 'Bye for now' to as he embarks upon another adventure that has come his way, which is to play cricket for the Penwortham Cricket Club in the UK, for their summer season. 🇬🇧

We wish him all the best on this amazing opportunity and look forward to watching your season from afar (no pressure)! 🏏

**What is Landscape Construction?**
Landscape Construction / Horticulture is a trade qualification and requires specialised knowledge in each of the following areas -
Earthworks - Dig outs, fill, leveling, soil and base preparation
Hardscape - Paving, block retaining, garden edging
Softscape - Irrigation, turf, lighting, planting/mulching
We have multiple positions available for Team Leader roles.
We recognize that being a great tradesman doesn't always come with inbuilt leadership and organizational skills, so we've found a solution!
The successful applicants will receive two days of organizational training before stepping in to a team leader role, and then, while learning your way around on the job, you will also work with a dedicated mentor to support your growth over a 3 month period.
Our program is designed to challenge you, and develop the skills you will need in your role as Team Leader.
If you are ready to step up and be at the top of your game, this opportunity could be for you.
Current drivers license essential
Minimum 38 hours per week - Above award rates apply.

Im a bit late sharing this, but exactly 8 weeks ago, Gordy had his last day working with us here at Levant and he's hanging up the boots 🥾🥾!
