We received a call from a client experiencing stormwater backups during heavy rain. Previous trades had attended the property but were unable to pinpoint the exact location of the blockage.
That’s where our team stepped in! 💪
Using our specialist locating equipment and condition assessment techniques, we located the stormwater lines and identified the blockage at approximately 1 metre deep in an unexpected location!
But that wasn’t all — during the assessment, we also discovered additional stormwater lines on the property that the client didn’t even know existed!

💧 WATER TRAVELS — AND WE FOUND IT! 🔍

Another successful acoustic leak detection job completed by the Leaktech Australia team!

Our client was concerned about high moisture levels at the base of a hill on a residential property. Using our specialist acoustic listening equipment, the team identified the loudest leak area before manually excavating to investigate further.

This job is a great example of how water can travel underground and appear a considerable distance from the actual source of a leak!

🐕 Take Your Dog to Work Day – Leaktech Style! 💦

She’s well trained, loves getting her paws dirty and has a natural talent for producing plenty of leaks… unfortunately, she still can’t find one! 😂

The only difference is her leaks don’t turn the grass green! 🌱💧

This one was a great example of why you can’t always investigate where the water appears at the surface. The actual leak was located approximately 50–60 metres away from where the surface water was visible.

Water can travel underground through surrounding soils and pathways before eventually making its way to the surface — meaning the visible water is not necessarily the source.

With the right expertise, technology and field investigation, we can trace the evidence back to the actual source and get the job done correctly.
