It’s always rewarding to return to a project and see how it has grown into an important and well-used part of the community.

Select Architects recently returned to Grovedale West Primary School to assist with the design and management of additional internal classroom glazing following completion of the new Learning Pod in 2024.

While on site, it was fantastic to see the Outdoor Learning Space thriving and being so well used by students and staff - a space truly deserving of its 2024 First Nations Design Award.

A special thank you to artist for the incredible indigenous artworks and carvings that continue to bring identity and meaning to the project, and to Grovedale West West Primary School for the opportunity to be part of such a collaborative and rewarding project.

GRAND OPENING! An exciting day for Armstrong Creek as Starbucks officially opens its doors.

Our Project Leader, Dallas, was there bright and early this morning to grab one of the first coffees and see the store come to life.

It’s exciting to see this growing part of Armstrong Creek continue to evolve, with another great food and beverage offering now open for the community to enjoy.

And there’s more to come - stay tuned, as El Jannah is on track to open soon!

Big progress happening on site at ALDI Delacombe.

Our team was back on site this week and there’s been plenty of movement since the last visit - with approximately 75% of the precast panels now installed, rafters going up and roofing scheduled to commence by the end of the month.

Retaining walls are also taking shape, while stormwater infrastructure is being installed through the loading dock area as the project continues to move ahead at pace.

There’s now so much happening on site that we’ll be increasing our visits to fortnightly to stay closely connected with progress and continue supporting the project team through delivery.

At Select, great interiors start with understanding how a space will actually be used. From there, it’s about layering materials, colour and texture in a way that supports the functionality of the project while bringing the design vision to life.

These inspo pics, mood boards, colour palettes, sketches and renders are all part of our process of exploring inspiration, refining key aesthetic features, and selecting finishes and furnishings that create spaces that feel warm, welcoming and considered.

Rain, mud, sunshine and sudden downpours - all within one site visit. Melbourne construction at its finest.

Despite a challenging week of weather last week, Mainbrace Constructions Pty Ltd are continuing to push ahead on site with earthworks progressing well. Retaining walls to the loading dock are now installed, footings and in-ground services are complete, and the team is working through the ongoing challenge of preparing the first slab pour between rain events.

Projects don’t stop for the weather - they adapt, push forward and keep finding solutions.
