In an ideal world, your work devices would be kept away from your kids. But, we know this isn’t always the case.
If you ever let your kids borrow work devices, there are a few steps you can take to help reduce cybersecurity risks.
Here are 3 tips from our team:
1️⃣ Turn on in-built control settings such as parental locks, app limits or screen-time settings, and limit which Wi-Fi networks can be auto-joined.
2️⃣ Get to know the gaming platforms or apps your kids like to use. Some popular games are known targets for scams, so our best recommendation is to keep gaming on a separate device with no business or personal data accessible.
3️⃣ Have regular conversations about online safety and encourage your kids to speak up early if something doesn’t feel right. The sooner an issue is spotted, the easier it could be to fix.
*️⃣ Bonus Tip: Make sure you tell your IT partner about all the ways your devices may be used. This helps us put the right protections in place to minimise your risk.
When it comes to cybersecurity, we focus on prevention and personalisation. We get to know your business and how it's run, so we can provide the most effective protection for all your systems.
