Large sample wall completed for upcoming project. We will be laying around 470m2 of basalt that has been pulled from the ground of this property. No tooling marks on the face of the stone is the main objective with this style, which is making for a really nice country vibe.

MOONGATE! The size of this thing isn’t captured in the video. It has 2m clearance to walk through, and the moongate pieces are 500mm thick! What a great project to be a part of. We still need to clean and grout the joints. Couldn’t wait till then to post.

Must be able to work on your feet all day, have a positive attitude and be physically strong enough to move stone. Took the boys to work this morning. I don’t get to see them in the morning on this project , so it’s nice to show them what I’ve been working on. Early starts and home late, the boys can now appreciate what all the hard work is going towards which I think is important. Sometimes it’s the mental challenge more than the physical. There’s still alot to do here, but I feel like we at starting to get on top of it !

Progress is steady out at Brown hill. Archways going in this week, few more masons jumping on to speed things up. It’s going to be a productive few weeks!

First week in the books ✅ Building something pretty spectacular involving some large custom bluestone tied in with some reclaimed stuff found on the property. This is going to be epic.

Drystone walling from a few weeks back. Very round basalt from a fallen down wall. We used some recycled bluestone for big corners, adding some character and strength to the wall !

We returned to our brown hill project this week after a couple of weeks installing some guttering. Getting some nice height on this wall while we wait for the house to be framed. Sam has laid some decent sections on this wall and it’s blending in just fine, not a bad effort from the lad.
