Every successful lift begins long before the load leaves the ground.

The site visits. The planning. The engineering. The rigging. The teamwork.

Using our 450-tonne Grove GMK7450 in MegaWing configuration, we recently installed a 275/33kV Switch Room (94 tonnes including rigging) and a 275/33kV Control Room (23 tonnes including rigging) as part of a major electrical substation project.

With a complex rigging arrangement and detailed lift engineering, the GMK7450 was configured to complete both lifts from a single crane position, including placing the second module at an impressive 40-metre radius. Maximising efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety and precision.

No project like this is delivered alone. A big thanks to Queensland Rigging Hire for helping supply a lot of the specialised rigging while we had multiple major projects running at the same time. We appreciate the support.

This project is another great example of what’s possible when experienced people, detailed planning and the right equipment come together.

💙🏉 Backing our community, on and off the field.

This weekend we're proud to be supporting the Valleys Diehards JRL Gladstone U12s as they compete at the Jason Hetherington & Gary Larson Carnival.

It's a sponsorship that's especially meaningful to us, with a number of our own employees volunteering with the club, coaching, and cheering on their kids from the sidelines.

We know the time and effort that goes into junior sport, and we're proud to play a small part in helping local kids enjoy the game they love.

Best of luck to all the players, coaches, volunteers and families this weekend. Have a great carnival and make plenty of memories!

We’ve had a great run of tilt panel work across Central Queensland recently, with our Demag AC 350 proving to be the perfect crane for these jobs.

Fast to set up, quick to pack down, with impressive lifting capacity and smooth operation, the AC 350 is ideally suited to safely rotate and install precast concrete panels with precision.

Concept to Completion 🏗️

From lift engineering through to final placement, our Central Queensland team recently completed the offload and installation of 35-tonne electrical switch rooms using our Demag AC350/6.

The project required a purpose-designed multi-level lifting arrangement, with all lift engineering completed in-house by the Universal Cranes team. We also supplied the complete rigging package, providing our client with a complete lifting solution from concept to completion.

By combining in-house engineering, specialised rigging and an experienced lift crew, our team delivered another safe and efficient heavy lift.

A great effort by everyone involved and another example of the complete lifting solutions Universal Cranes provides across Central Queensland.

Another successful marine mobilisation completed by our team of legends.

We recently mobilised one of our Grove GMK4100L all-terrain cranes by barge to support the installation of new wharf dolphins.

Our lift engineering team developed the lifting methodology, including the use of our in house designed 10m² outrigger support mats to safely manage crane ground bearing pressures for the lift on the barge.

From lift engineering and planning through to mobilisation and ex*****on, this project showcases the end-to-end capability of team.

Great effort by everyone involved, and thanks to our client for the opportunity to be part of another important marine infrastructure project.
