It's been a big few weeks on site at the Round Hill Reservoir Works project for the team, with crews successfully completing the panel lifts in a timely and proactive manner.

It’s been a great project to be part of alongside Gladstone Regional Council, working together to help strengthen long-term water infrastructure for the Gladstone region.

Projects like this are a great example of local industry, local people and strong collaboration delivering important outcomes for the community.

Well done to everyone involved on site for the continued commitment, teamwork and safe delivery of works.

McCosker Contracting is proud to be playing a part in bringing this major project to life right here in Gladstone.

Projects like this create real opportunities for local people, local families, and the future of our region — while helping showcase the capability of McCosker, right here in Gladstone.

Our scope on the project includes the construction of concrete foundations, bunds and walls, slabs, columns, tank foundations, equipment plinths and pedestals, driven concrete and sheet piles, bulk earthworks, roadworks, underground services and protective concrete coatings.

May is Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month — a time to shine a light on an issue that affects more people than we think.

Domestic and Family Violence is closer than we think.
In Australia:
• 1 in 5 adults (3.8 million people) have experienced violence from an intimate partner or family member since age 15
• 97,800 offenders were recorded in 2024–25 — the highest on record, up 8%
Who is impacted
👩 1 in 4 women (23%)
👨 1 in 13 men (7.8%)
have experienced violence by an intimate partner
⚠️ 1 in 5 adults have experienced physical or sexual DFV since age 15
In Queensland:
• Over 50% of all assaults are domestic and family violence related
• Nearly 1 in 3 property damage offences are linked to DFV
• Breaches of protection orders have increased by 67.6%
This isn’t just a statistic — it’s happening in homes, families, and communities around us.
Domestic and family violence often starts small — and can escalate over time.
Awareness matters. Early action matters. Support matters.
If something doesn’t feel right — don’t ignore it.
