Experienced Operator

Breen Constructions is seeking a motivated and reliable Operator to join our civil construction team.

We are offering a casual position based in Gladstone QLD. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in civil and residential works, who takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct general earthworks
• Read and interpret site plans
• Load, unload, and safely transport machinery and equipment to and from job sites.
• Operate 5-tonne excavator and skid steer
• Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks when required
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections on machinery and equipment
• Collaborate with supervisor and team members to meet project requirements

Skills & Requirements:
1–2 years of experience operating machinery (Excavator/skid steer)
Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
HC licence is required
White Card (essential)
Driver’s licence
Willingness to learn and further develop plant and machinery skills

Asphalt/Civil Labourers

Breen Constructions is seeking reliable and experienced Labourers to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a team-focused environment.

About the Role:
You will be involved in a range of civil and asphalt works, supporting site operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
* Asphalt preparation, laying, and finishing
* General civil labouring duties
* Operating small plant
* Working alongside crew members and supervisor
* Maintaining a safe and clean worksite

Requirements:
Previous experience in asphalt or civil construction (preferred)
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
Strong work ethic and reliability
White Card (essential)
Driver’s licence (preferred)
Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
