I harvested this small bunch of my French Culinary Lavender yesterday afternoon. 💜🌿

These are without a doubt the largest lavender flowers I've ever been able to grow, so I'm super excited to dry them out and use them in my baking. I'm thinking of making lavender infused sugar or even a lavender coffee syrup. Open to more ideas!

Im able to FINALLY share the process of planting our garlic out with you all! 🧄👩‍🌾

We originally sourced our garlic bulbs from a few years ago and would recommend them to anyone in the Glen Innes/ New England area. Now we're able save a portion of our garlic harvest to replant the following season.

You'll also see we're using Sugarcane Mulch by , which we used last year with great results. At the time of planting our garlic we hadn't had rain in months and were relying on the mulch to help retain as much moisture in the soil as possible. Thankfully, we were able to use our tank water and we've had some rain now which has allowed our garlic to continue to thrive!

Life has changed so much over the last few months but im happy to say that I'm finally able to get back into the garden - my rose bushes desperately need a prune 😅😅

And yes, I'm absolutely racing to edit and type this caption while my almost 3 week old newborn naps.

☀️💕 Harriet Maggie Lovell 👶🌻

Harriet arrived on the 26th of May 2026 at 10.50PM, weighing 3.54kg.

We are happy, healthy and spending all our time soaking in the first week of being parents. Jake is the happiest I've ever seen him and doing a great job of looking after us girls. He was totally meant to be a Dad!

A big THANK YOU to Bianca, .cool.climate.gardener for taking some newborn photos of us - even if we are the most awkward people when getting our pictures taken 🤣🫶🏻🫶🏻

Jake planted several Watermelon Jubilee seeds from a couple of months ago and they're doing amazing. We can't wait to see how big it gets and if it ripens inside properly 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
