Autumn leaves are falling from my trees. I love how they create a colourful circular mulch beneath each tree. It contrasts beautifully with the green lawn.

Autumn leaves can be very political.
If they fall from your trees you look at them with wonderment.

If they’ve come from someone else’s trees then people aren’t so forgiving. In fact leaves can start suburban wars.

Even intelligent people can’t see the beauty in other peoples leaves.
Instead they see mess.
Isn’t that interesting?

I own my leaves so they mesmerise me. I love walking through them and hearing the crunch.

I mow my lawn without a catcher, so the leaves get chopped up and the organic matter goes back into the soil. This feeds the grass and makes the soil hold more water. More water in summer, means greener grass.

The leaves also get blown into my gardens, where I leave them to compost. Other leaves get blown next door where my neighbours cows feed on them with gusto.

When the leaves have all fallen, the sun shines in, to warm my house.
The bare trees are lovely to look at.
I appreciate their perfect shapes.

Come spring the trees come back too life with white spring blossom and then fresh new growth. My garden is always changing colours.
It never stops.

We have a position for a delivery driver who holds an MR licence to deliver plants to Sydney, Goulburn the ACT and surrounds. The applicant should have a reasonable level of fitness as the position can involve physical activity. An interest in plants would be an advantage but is not essential. Echinacea 'Pow Wow White' and 'Pow Wow Wild Berry, both in flower and looking gorgeous at the nursery. These hardy perennials are long flowering throughout summer and into autumn and add spectacular colour to any garden.
