Hello and Happy New Year! 🥳

I recently completed a job installing a handrail for a staircase, and it was one of those projects that required extra care and attention to detail. The real challenge was drilling into the concrete blocks to properly anchor the posts. I had to make sure the holes were precise for the chemset, which was crucial to secure the posts firmly in place. Getting the right depth and angle was important to ensure the posts would support the handrail without budging over time. It took some patience, but the final result was solid and secure, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.

These raised garden beds are designed for wheelchair accessibility, making it easier for participants and community members to enjoy gardening.

The surrounding landscaping and paving help with water drainage, using a well compacted crusher dust base beneath the boxes to ensure proper runoff and stability.

I had to modify the cavity door unit to fit the floor to ceiling height in this lower ground level space.
The tricky part was getting the door onto the roller mounts. After some frustration, a few choice words were exchanged, and the occasional “go in your home!” was said, but in the end, the job was done! 😂

I completed this storage unit today, equipped with electromagnetic locks and swipe card access. When activated, the doors automatically spring open using a tip-on latch system.

To prevent the doors from dropping over time due to daily use or pressure from people leaning on them, I needed a solution. I came up with the idea of using a piano hinge and reached out to a custom hinge manufacturer. It turned out to be a fantastic idea, as the hinges performed perfectly, with no vertical movement at all.

One of my clients moved and wanted the bookcase in the new house. After inspecting the window to find this bookcase would just fit so neatly to the architrave line I had to laugh.
