The Grand Wheel Engineering Program — Block Coding Edition
An advanced SPIKE Prime unit using Word Blocks (Scratch-style coding) — Little Alphas Robotics Club
Model: Motorised Ferris wheel (rotating passenger wheel + loading station)
Coding: SPIKE App 3 Word Blocks — the Scratch-based block language (not Python, not the simplified Icon Blocks)
Best fit: Confident Year 3–6 (ages ~8–12); the block palette lowers the floor so younger primary students can reach real engineering ideas
