This diagonal truss member has torn away from the nail plates causing the bottom chord member to overstress and the ceiling to sag. We have given the owner the required information to fix this safely.

Damage to an enclosed balcony timber beam due to waterproofing failure. Moisture was absorbed into the member and has caused the timber/glue to weaken. We have given the owner the required information to fix this structure safely.
