The Divorce Architect Framework™ It is a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together. I am so very fortunate.

With a career primarily rooted in entrepreneurship, and as a business owner for my entire working career, encompassing property design, development, construction, and consulting services, I have cultivated a comprehension of interpersonal dynamics and conflict resolution. This journey has honed my ability to navigate complex situations, emphasizing the significance of both counselling and mediatio

n in fostering constructive dialogues. Within my private practice, I am privileged to leverage my extensive experience in facilitating numerous mediations arising from the natural course of business interactions. Holding registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney General's Department and obtaining NMAS accreditation equips me with the necessary specialized credentials to focus on dispute resolution. This enables me to facilitate the outcomes of conflicts and disputes within my practice, with a focus on achieving fair and amicable outcomes for all parties involved, supporting their self-determination in conflict resolution. Through a blend of experiential learning and formal education, I have developed a nuanced understanding of mediation techniques and the art of fostering collaborative resolutions. My commitment to facilitating meaningful dialogue and fostering mutually beneficial outcomes underscores my approach to mediation services. During the inception of Shifting Tides Counselling & Mediation, I was approached to join two boards within the counselling sector:

ACA | Australian Counselling Association
- Not for profit, peak body for counsellors and psychotherapists | Australia | 16 000 members
- October 2023, I was elected President and Chair of the association

AIPC | Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors
- Primary education body for the counselling profession
- Governance Board member

What resonates with my life journey, is that everyone has something to work through at some point in their lives. Whether personally through the journey of self-discovery and improvement, relationship breakdowns and how to navigate the process moving forward or other conflicts that require specialist skills to support your choices and decisions, one thing is for certain, things happen, priorities shift and circumstances change and in many ways, they mirror the waterways of the coast that continually change with “Shifting Tides”. I look forward to supporting and working with you.

Not allowing pain to harden you is its own kind of strength.

A gentle reminder that even in seasons of uncertainty, there can still be quiet moments of peace, comfort and grounding in between it all.
Sometimes healing doesn’t look big or dramatic. Sometimes it looks like slowing down, getting outside, taking a breath, and allowing yourself a moment to just be 🤍🕊️

There’s a reason so many people stay stuck in situations that are no longer healthy for them.

Not because they want to stay, but because the fear of separation feels bigger than the possibility of peace on the other side.

At Shifting Tides, the focus isn’t on creating more conflict.
It’s about helping people navigate separation with clarity, support, and the least amount of emotional and financial damage possible.

There is another way to move through this process. One that prioritises resolution over destruction, and people over courtrooms.

The Divorce Architect Framework™ was created to help you understand where you’re at, what comes next, and how to move forward with support - not fear.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by where to start, reach out for a confidential conversation about what support could look like for you.

Sometimes understanding your options is the first step toward feeling a little less stuck.

Children, particularly in separation, are exquisitely sensitive to emotional undercurrents. They don’t just hear what is said—they feel what is unsaid. They notice tension in handovers, tone in messages, and the subtle shifts in language when one parent speaks about the other. Over time, this shapes their internal world.

Separation doesn’t just impact the adults in the room.

For children, it often shows up in quieter ways. In what they don’t say, what they hold onto, or what they don’t yet have the words for.

These conversations aren’t about getting the right answers. They’re about creating small, consistent moments where your child feels safe enough to share in their own way and in their own time.

You might not always get much back straight away and that’s okay but what matters is that they know the space is there.

Overtime that’s what builds trust and that’s what helps them feel heard.

If you’re supporting children through separation, you don’t have to navigate it on your own.

Separation isn’t just one decision, it’s many, all happening at once.

And without the right support, it’s easy to move through it reacting - rather than with intention.

A therapeutic approach brings something different.

It creates space to slow things down, to understand what matters, and to move forward with clarity, not pressure.

Because the way you move through this process shape of what comes next.

Sometimes, before we can explain what’s wrong... we can feel it.
A sense of discomfort.
A shift in energy.
A quiet instinct that something isn’t sitting right.
It’s easy to ignore those signals or question whether they’re valid.
But they’re often your system trying to tell you something.
Counselling creates space to understand both - what you’re thinking, and what you’re feeling beneath it.

An introduction to my work and how I approach separation.

Something that is often more complex than people expect, and my role is to bring structure, clarity, and a more considered way through it.

If you’re navigating this space, or simply wanting to understand a different approach to divorce or separation, this is a good place to start.

I welcome you to take a moment to read through and stick around to see how we can work together.
