Just wrapped up a clean and capable power upgrade on this beautiful Fairway Sedan

880W of low profile solar neatly mounted up top, feeding a Victron SmartSolar 150/70 MPPT to keep the house batteries working hard while the boat is doing what it was built for. Even at the dock with shading it’s already pushing serious charge.

A Victron MultiPlus II 12/3000/120 paired with a Digital Multi Control delivers true 230V power offshore, seamless shore power changeover, and up to 120A of automatic battery charging. Comfortable cruising without relying on a generator.

The system is rounded out with Victron battery monitoring and a Bluetooth SmartShunt, giving full real time visibility of solar input, charging current, and overall battery health right from the phone.

Purpose built, efficient, and designed for extended time on the water

Just finished up a full lithium changeover on Sassafras, a 2022 J/45 sailing yacht

This system includes
- 900Ah of Victron Smart Lithium NG
- Lynx Smart BMS and distributor system
- Orion XS 50A DCDC charger
- 1000W of solar
- All tied into a network using the Cerbo GX for full visibility and monitoring

This vessel is now fully equipped for long journeys and off grid adventures with reliable and efficient power wherever they go

Installed a brand new custom switch panel on this 36ft centre console, supplied by the team at
Bit of an upgrade from the old failing switches, boat now has a sleek, modern look at the helm with everything lit up and easy to control.

Installed some underwater lighting on “Obsession”, a 57ft Carver Voyager.

We fitted 6 x Hella Apelo A2 RGB lights, powered by 2 separate Hella Apelo RGB controllers. This setup lets the Port and Starboard sides run independently for better customisation, all controlled via Bluetooth.

Keen to see the underwater shots of these lights in action soon!

Full colour control straight from your phone and it transforms the boat once the sun goes down.

A quick stop at The Boat Works this week to sort out a few electrical gremlins aboard Teliká, a stunning Princess 55.

Sometimes it’s the small faults that can cause the biggest headaches, a few minor issues were quickly sorted and she’s good to go.

If you’re planning to haul out for maintenance on the hardstand, it’s the perfect time to get your marine electrical systems checked too. Saves doubling up and ensures everything is running smooth before you're back on the water

Quick job on this stealthy BRIG Eagle 6.7m this week

We installed a new Hella Apelo RGB lighting controller to tie together the 8x RGB step lights and the Hella A2 RGB underwater light we previously fitted, all now fully controllable via your phone and cleanly hidden away

Also added a new GME VHF and antenna setup to keep things clear and safe for those offshore runs

Another tidy finish on a seriously tidy rig!

Big lithium upgrade complete on this Selene 55 Ocean Trawler
We removed the old lead acid bank and set the vessel up with 900Ah of EcoWatt LiFePO₄.
Installed a Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120 inverter/charger along with a Lynx Distributor, isolators and busbars to clean up the existing DC layout and improve serviceability.

Also added cabling and protection for the Blue Smart IP22 charger and finished it all off with a full test and commissioning – system now running smooth and ready for long stays off grid.

Another tidy setup sorted this week 👌

This Karnic centre cab got a full lighting upgrade with 8 Stedi marine lights neatly tucked away. Out of sight but definitely not out of power. The deck lights up like daylight now, perfect for night sessions or early morning launches.

Customer also asked for a forward facing blue floodlight to help when anchoring after dark. Bit of a unique touch but works a treat.

Up top we added a dual colour overhead light with red and white modes, perfect for preserving night vision when needed.

And to keep the cabin fridge humming along, we mounted a 120W solar panel on the roof paired with a Victron SmartSolar 75/15 MPPT. Simple, efficient and keeps the house battery topped up without needing to run the engine.

Not a huge job but plenty of tidy little upgrades that make boating that much easier ⚡
