First rule of fight club : Don’t talk about fight club.
Second rule: Don’t install your insulation with glue!
One of our clients moved into their house in December 2021, with garage door insulation DIY installed by the previous homeowner. A couple days in, the insulation started to peel off the door, and it became evident that something was wrong. After only a few weeks, the panels were beginning to fall off the door completely, with one even kamikaze-dropping off the garage door onto the client’s parked car!
Applying adhesive to garage doors can seem like an appropriate method to insulate, but it can end up damaging your garage door even more than it damages the panels. The warmer weather not only causes your garage to expand during the day, but the heat will cause your adhesive to become less affective over time. Eventually, the panels will detach from your garage door, and you’ll be left with something more unsettling than a blind proctologist!
When choosing to insulate, contact Spacious to get your garage panels measured, cut, and installed professionally to ensure perfection in the insulating process!
