Lighting up the valley
A project that means so much more than just lights.

We were incredibly privileged to be part of this community support project, helping bring new life to the Currumbin Valley State School tennis courts.
For us at ADAMSON, projects like this are a reminder of why we love being part of the communities we work in. It’s not just about what we build, it’s about the people who benefit from it and the opportunities it creates for future generations.

A huge shoutout to Steve Sproule for his determination and effort in bringing this vision to life, from securing funding, coordinating the project, and bringing the right people together to make it happen.

Thank you also to Andrew, the school principal at Currumbin Valley State School, the school community, and everyone who contributed their time, resources, and support behind the scenes. It truly was a team effort.

We’re proud to have played a small part in helping create a space that can be enjoyed by students, families, and the wider Currumbin Valley community for years to come.

Here’s to more projects that strengthen the places we call home.

LIGHTING UP CURRUMBIN VALLEY

We’re proud to have recently completed a project close to the heart of ADAMSON, upgrading the tennis court lighting for the Currumbin Valley community and Currumbin Valley State School.

As part of the project, ADAMSON donated our time, resources and expertise to help bring the new lighting to life.
It’s always rewarding to be able to give back to the communities we work in, and we’re especially excited to see these courts being used well into the evening by local families, students and the wider Currumbin Valley community.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making this project happen. We can’t wait to see the community enjoy it! ❤️

New Smoke Alarm Laws – Is Your Home Ready?

From 1 January 2027, every existing home, townhouse, unit and manufactured home in Queensland must have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms installed — meaning when one alarm goes off, they all go off.

To be compliant, alarms must be:
- Photoelectric (not ionisation)
- Interconnected throughout the home
- Compliant with AS3786-2014
- Hardwired by a licensed electrician (with battery backup), or 10-year non-removable battery photoelectric alarms

If you're selling your home, you'll also need to prove compliance to the buyer — so it pays to get ahead of it now rather than scrambling later.

With the deadline approaching, electricians across the Gold Coast are going to get booked out fast. Get in touch with us now to have your smoke alarms assessed and upgraded before the rush.
