That’s all it takes to void your tap warranty.

We attended a job where a leaking tap couldn’t be replaced under warranty — house pressure was sitting at 690kPa.
That’s 190kPa over the 500kPa limit.
Most manufacturers won’t honour warranty above 500kPa.

This pipe was nicked in within a fraction of a millimetre when the house was built in 2006. Our clients noticed the bamboo floor boards getting wet in the kitchen area and called us in. On inspection we found a hot water line had been hit - just - during the build when previous plumbers were drilling for a sink drain. The hole saw didnt go all the way through the layer of pipe at the time and held by a thread all this time until just a few days ago. Check it out.
