🎉Today marks Mackie Electrical's 5th Birthday🎉

Five years of constant growth, improvement, passion and learning and we can't thank both our team and loyal customers enough for being on this ride with us. We started this business not only to build something special, but to stand out and give our customers the service that they deserve without compromise.

What started out as just Kyle, a ute and Kel behind the scenes (while juggling life with a new baby) in 2021, we had a dream - Along the way, we've grown the team to what you know and love today and we couldn't be more proud.

Fault Finding Tips Part 2⚡️

Insulation resistance testing is like putting a kink in your garden hose, it increases the pressure and will show any sneaky pin holes.

Here we test the power circuits at rated voltage initially to prevent blowing up any sensitive electronics plugged in inside, once we know there isn't a dead short somewhere we can crank it up to double the rated voltage for the real test ✅️

Our customer came over for a chat so the meta glasses went away (we give our customers our 100% attention) but the results were:

- Both circuits meggered clear and healthy, we suspect either a dodgy old RCD or vermin coming into contact with live terminals and getting blown clear, it will cause a trip but the fault will disappear on testing.

To protect the home from multiple circuits being affected by a trip again we installed individual RCBOs (RCD and Circuit Breaker Combinations) to the final sub circuits for maximum convenience and safety as well as tidied up some dodgy solar work in the board.⚡️

The home is now back online and safe for years to come 🤘
