Rainforest Contractors FNQ are a local family company who are debutants onto the Cairns market. Lenny and Gayle were former owners of CQ Mini Excavators operating mainly in the Central Queensland areas.
Gayle being a local to Cairns, lured Lenny back to the tropics to start their next life chapter and to encourage their younger family members to join the business.
Our equipment will be stored at a yard in Cairns, but our geographical work locations are extensive. Categories of work extend to but are not limited to private and public housing developments, factories, offices, schools, hospitals and public buildings also our main interest being in civil infrastructure projects.
Lenny has extensive experience, knowledge and expertise gained throughout his 25 plus years of working experience in the civil and mining industries in New Zealand and predominantly Australia. He has mastered his technique and skill in the operation of excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, scrapers and trucks. He faces all new projects with enthusiasm and a “Can Do Attitude”.
He is accredited with all tickets and RII’s and also has project managed and supervised on numerous projects. Rainforest Contractors are safety conscious and also respectful and mindful of our environment. We encourage our staff to upskill and to multi task and are always on hand to mentor.
Lenny was heavily involved with the recent Caravonica Development for a period of seven months. He supervised the site whilst operating the dozers or excavator. He liaised with the proprietor of Eco Civil solutions and also directly with the Developer. His knowledge and experience proved to be an asset to the project. His operational expertise ensured that the project was completed on time and within budget.



With our recent acquisition of a Komatsu PC200 with an extension arm we are confident to perform any excavation work to a very high standard. Our seasoned and talented team of operators are here to help our clients grow their business and reputation.
