One of Sydneys leading Tree Company’s specialising in all types of tree works. These works include but not limited to stump grinding, land clearing and tree removals. Our team is looking to hire additional staff.

The Role:

We are searching for a skilled tree grounds-person to join our Tree Maintenance company. The tree grounds-person’s duties include assisting arborists, collecting and piling branches, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring hazard-free work areas. You should be able to work with a variety of crew members.

To be successful as a tree grounds-person, you should be physically strong and able to work in extreme weather conditions. Outstanding tree grounds-person should be able to carry out instructions efficiently and complete all maintenance tasks to the highest standard

Responsibility of Grounds-people:

* Assisting arborist and team members with tree removals, pruning and debris disposals
* Ensuring all sites are kept clean and free of any hazards
* Collect and piling branches
* Safely using tools and equipment like chippers and chainsaws to carry out maintenance task
* Felling trees from the ground
* Using the appropriate gear and observing safety protocols
* Adhering to company and environmental regulations at all times

Job Requirements:

* White Card
* Double Covid Vaccination
* Valid Drivers License

You will undertake all aspects of tree maintenance work in a safe and effective manner whilst achieving best practice and service delivery. This is an opportunity to work outdoors in a small team with good work ethic, using well maintained equipment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in arboriculture and qualifications in the industry. You will have the ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment in various types of weather conditions.

What we are looking for:
* A current license
* A MR class drivers license is highly desirable
* White Card
* Double Covid Vaccination required
* Elevated Work Platform license or willingness to obtain one
* Chainsaw operation qualification is desirable
* Cert III in Arboriculture
* The ability to work as part of a team with a mature outlook and good communication skills
* Flexibility to work away from home when required
