Traffic hazard warning Caringbah!đŸ˜ŗ☚ī¸

CARINGBAH - Kingsway CLOSED eastbound after bus ends in sinkhole.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the Kingsway at Port Hacking Road due to a burst water main.

The road at the intersection has partially collapsed with a bus currently stuck in the hole that has opened up.

The Kingsway is closed eastbound, resulting in significant traffic delays.

Westbound traffic remains open with 2 of 3 lanes unaffected.

One witness has told Shire News the bus was carrying passengers at the time of the incident, however all onboard were able to safely evacuate with no injuries.

TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS:
- Eastbound motorists on Kingsway are being diverted onto Willarong Road, Captain Cook Drive, Gannons Road then back onto Kingsway.

- Eastbound motorists on President Avenue are being diverted onto Willarong Road, Caringbah Road, Gannons Road then back to Kingsway.
