Welcome to the Team, Reilly! ⚡️

We’re excited to officially welcome Reilly Van Dorssen
to the Groves Electrical family as he begins his Apprenticeship.

Starting an apprenticeship is the beginning of an exciting journey, and we’re proud to be part of helping Reilly develop the skills, knowledge and experience to become a qualified electrician.

At Groves Electrical, we’re passionate about investing in the next generation of tradespeople and providing opportunities for local young people to build rewarding careers.

⚡ BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO JAKE! ⚡

After 4 years of hard work, early mornings, long days, learning curves and determination, Jake has officially completed his Certificate III in Electrotechnology and is now a qualified electrician! 👏

We’re incredibly proud to see the effort and commitment he’s put in throughout his apprenticeship. From day one, Jake has continued to grow his skills, take on challenges and become a valuable part of the team.

This trade isn’t handed to you — it’s earned through dedication, persistence and plenty of hard work.

Well done, Jake. Your future is looking bright mate ⚡🍻

Wow… what a record-breaking weekend at the Gympie Show 👏⚡

The power demand through Sideshow Alley and Machinery Alley literally hit a new all-time peak this year — reaching a whopping 740 amps!

To put that into perspective, that’s the highest recorded peak load we’ve seen on record for the showgrounds, surpassing previous years and showing just how much the show continues to grow every year.

A huge effort from the entire Groves Electrical team behind the scenes keeping everything powered, monitored, safe, and running smoothly across the whole weekend. Long hours, big days, and plenty of kilometres walked — but seeing the community come out in force makes it all worth it.

Most importantly, thank you to the local community for continuing to support the show. The crowds, volunteers, local businesses, sponsors, and families attending each year are what keep this great local tradition alive and growing so future generations can enjoy it for many years to come.

This batch is extra special. ❤️
We’ve added a limited-edition tribute logo in honour of Pete ( for those who’s eyes are older then about 20yeas old. Peter’s name is in the filament of the light bulb) — the man who built the foundation of Groves Electrical and the reason we hold such high standards today. A small mark on the gear, but a huge part of who we are.

Thanks again to both teams for helping us keep his legacy alive in everything we do. ⚡️
